Books handmade from the finest treeless printmaking paper and upcycled materials

I began making books back in the early ‘70s and picked it up again in 2008. At first, it was a way to distract myself from having breast cancer by doing something life-giving. Even when I slashed my right eye open and lost the use of the eye-sight, bookmaking was therapeutic for me.

I began teaching mixed media art classes and journaling to adults and children and selling my handmade books at the local summer markets.

My Handmade Books are carefully made to be a sturdy companion but still require some care. I use the finest treeless printmaking paper and leave the pages plain, lightly colored or eco-dyed.

Selected fabric, paper and gathered objects create a beautiful keepsake or something you will be proud to give as a gift. Each book comes together to create a unique look.

Add your photos, hand sewing, writings, art and favourite quotes to the archival paper or eco and rust-dyed cloth pages.
